Sheff Utd Preview, Good news and Heartache

A very good morning to my fellow Gooners,

We've got a lot of news to round up today.

First things first, the preview of tomorrows match against Sheffield United. On paper, they should be pushovers, but lets not underestimate any team. As it stands, Arsenal have won 4 out of their last 5 games against Sheff Utd, the other one being a 1-1 draw. Sheffield Utd won their last FA cup in 1925 (thats a long time ago :D), and are currently 20th in the league. Good news for us is that both Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie are expected to play. Its goin well for us coz this game will let Henry and RVP settle in after injuries, and should we win, will do the players confidence a world of good. I, for one, dont want a 1-0 victory. I want a comprehensive victory with at least a 2 goal margin. That will put aside all worries about form, and fully bring back Championship hopes. And thats bound to happen tomorrow. Enough said.

Other good news comes in from the Arsenal Reserves with a good 2-0 victory over Portsmouth. Jeremie Aliadiere scored both goals and Brazil Under-19 captain Denilson impressed in his first appearance on English soil. Also, Theo Walcott picked up a little shoulder injury during the game and had to go off at half time. Lets hope the young turk recovers before tomorrow. I really love watching him play.

Thierry Henry has paid tribute to Arsene Wenger's 'unique' legacy, with an exquisite choice of words. I just cannot describe the entire article in excerpts. You'll have to read it fully here. We love you both, Arsene and Henry.

Arseblog have put up this heart wrenching picture of Highbury's current state. Though we know its being taken down to be converted into flats, it still hurts to see Highbury in such a state.

An off-topic to end, I dont know how many of you watched Xabi Alonso's wonder-goal against Newcastle United. If you didnt, you really missed something!! He put it past the desperate Newcastle keeper from 70 YARDS OUT!!! You can watch the video below.

Lets forget all of that now, coz WE WANT A WIN TOMORROW!!! GO GUNNERS!!! SHEFF UTD BEWARE!!!

And I'm going to get back to 'Gas Dynamics and Jet propulsion' by S.Senthil :-(

Have a good day,
God Bless..

UPDATE : Arsenal-Mania reports that our dashing Swiss defender, Phill Senderos, has almost fully recovered from his shoulder injury at the World Cup, and is expected to return to practise next week. They also have a wonderful article on Kolo Toure. Check it out here.

Cheers..

Live Streams - Arsenal 3-0 Dirty Tottenham

LIVE STREAMS HAVE ENDED. Thanks a ton to LiveFooty for the links. An awesome game for the Gunners. Thrashing the Spurs 3-0 was just what we needed going into a tough week, what with FC Porto and Chelsea coming up. A beauty from Adebayor, though slightly offside, and two penalties converted by stand-in skipper Gilberto, ensured the Gunners a comfy victory. I thought Rosicky dived to get the first penalty, but what the heck?!? THis is the Spurs, I dont care even if Rosicky played dead. So, till the next game then, against FC Porto, in which we need a draw to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champs League. Think we'll get that with ease. Lets hope so, anyway. Please feel free to use the chatbox for chatting about the game and to provide updates. There will be streaming links available as usual, an hour before kickoff on Wednesday. Please do check in then. Cheers..

Live Streams - Arsenal 1-3 Bolton

LIVE STREAMS HAVE ENDED Thanks as always to LiveFooty for the links. Please enter the streams 10-15 minutes before kickoff to ensure proper streaming. And all these links work fine in Internet Explorer. The game ends in a disappointing 3-1 loss. And yet again, the curse of the Reebok Stadium continues to haunt Arsenal, as it has done for the past four years. I personally feel the game was well and truly lost in the first half itself, letting Bolton score 2 goals was a BIG mistake. Gilberto Silva scored the only goal for Arsenal, while Anelka scored a double. And we missed Henry and RVP horribly. Theo Walcott was probably the ONLY positive from this game. As usual, live links will be available for the next game too. Check back then. Till next time then.. Cheers..

Hello and Welcome!!!

A BIG hello to all my fellow ArseDudes, Welcome to GoonerWorld, The Place to Be!!! I'm Abhishek , the owner of this Blog, and I'd like to thank you for visiting my humble blog about the Arsenal Football Club. Right here i'd like to thank all the professional Arsenal Blogs (though they may never know it), because they were my inspiration to start one on my own. All you Arsenal lovers (and and haters alike) are welcome to comment on the content. I'd appreciate ALL your feedback. Comin back to Arsenal, we all know what they're capable of. We all know what they've achieved. And their achievements really speak for them. And their rivalry with Manchester Utd, makes them all the more interesting, coz i really HATE ManUtd. I love Arsenal because of the way with which they approach the game, the way in which they play the game, their sportive attitude, and their passion for the game. Arsenal FC is not just any other club, its a family . And at the top of this all, there...
