Chelsea in Muck Again, Financial Troubles..

Hi all,

Things are REALLY gettin better for us gooners. Ppl who think Chelsea need to be relegated, have reason to celebrate. The club's facing some problems now. Im not bein a sadist here, but i'm kinda happy, and cant take this grin off my face. Two reasons :

1) We've got news that the UEFA's considering transfer restrictions for premiership clubs. Excerpts:

"Big-spending clubs could face restrictions on how much they can spend on player wages and transfers under proposals being considered by the game's leaders and European sports ministers.
The move would hit clubs with rich owners such as Chelsea as they would not be allowed to spend more than they earn in order to steal a march on their rivals.
Clubs would not be allowed to spend more than they earn on transfer fees and players' wages but they would be allowed to borrow for capital investments such as new stadia or training grounds.
Chelsea and Roman Abramovich, their Russian billionaire owner, are the obvious examples of a club spending more than they earn. In the first two years of Abramovich's ownership they reported losses of £228 million and spent £276 million on transfers."

This would make a LOT of EPL fans happy. Clamping down Mr.
Roman Abramovich's buying power is a dream come true for many. If this is effected, Chelsea would be the hardest hit, and We would NOT EVEN be bothered, coz we dont spend big.

2) The bigger one now. Breaking news from BBC's Panorama programme, aired last night, tells us that Arnesen, the club's director of youth development, offered to give a Middlesborough youngster £150,000 over three years to try to induce him to Stamford Bridge. Excerpts:

"Chelsea's transfer conduct was mired in fresh controversy last night when Frank Arnesen was shown on the BBC's Panorama programme making an illegal approach for a Middlesbrough schoolboy player.
The revelation comes just over a month after Chelsea were accused by their former chairman Ken Bates of illegally poaching two players from his academy at Leeds United and tapping up a third, who stayed at Elland Road."

That's really really sad, if it is proved. It could possibly lead to Chelsea being docked 3 valuable points, which in turn nullifies Drogba's superb effort against Liverpool. Really sad, but it happens when you're constantly tryin to 'tap up' talented players from other clubs. We'll see, there's still the FA investigation. Lets hope this is all cleared up with minimum fuss, and the football goes on.

A small bit of Arsenal news now, Managing Director Edelman, has said in an interview to the official website, that the club is 'set for the future, but has work to do"..This was while he announced the Club's financial figures for the year ending May 2006, on Wednesday morning.

Good Bye for now..Be back for more updates..Till then,
Cheers, God Bless..

Super Persie Guns Down Addicks !!

A very good mornin to y'all.. To start off, I'd like to apologise again for lack of updates. Thanks for bearing with me.You can expect regular updates from now on. As a bonus, i'll now be providing links to WATCH all arsenal matches LIVE online!!! Cool, huh? Anyways, back to Arsenal news for now.. Robin Van Persie scored a fantastic double to set up the Gunner's 5th consecutvie win yesterday, against a fighting Charlton Athletic side. Earlier, Hasselbaink set up Darren Bent for an easy goal, though it appeared to offside. But Van Persie struck form to score twice, his second being a wonderful volley off an Eboue cross, from outside the penalty box, bring Arsenal from 0-1 down to win 2-1. Read on for the BBC Sport report. CHARLTON 1 - 2 ARSENAL Robin van Persie scored two - including a contender for goal of the season - as Arsenal earned their third league win in a row by beating Charlton. Charlton took the lead after 21 minutes as Darren Bent tapped in from Jimm...

Live Streams - Arsenal 1-3 Bolton

LIVE STREAMS HAVE ENDED Thanks as always to LiveFooty for the links. Please enter the streams 10-15 minutes before kickoff to ensure proper streaming. And all these links work fine in Internet Explorer. The game ends in a disappointing 3-1 loss. And yet again, the curse of the Reebok Stadium continues to haunt Arsenal, as it has done for the past four years. I personally feel the game was well and truly lost in the first half itself, letting Bolton score 2 goals was a BIG mistake. Gilberto Silva scored the only goal for Arsenal, while Anelka scored a double. And we missed Henry and RVP horribly. Theo Walcott was probably the ONLY positive from this game. As usual, live links will be available for the next game too. Check back then. Till next time then.. Cheers..

Hello and Welcome!!!

A BIG hello to all my fellow ArseDudes, Welcome to GoonerWorld, The Place to Be!!! I'm Abhishek , the owner of this Blog, and I'd like to thank you for visiting my humble blog about the Arsenal Football Club. Right here i'd like to thank all the professional Arsenal Blogs (though they may never know it), because they were my inspiration to start one on my own. All you Arsenal lovers (and and haters alike) are welcome to comment on the content. I'd appreciate ALL your feedback. Comin back to Arsenal, we all know what they're capable of. We all know what they've achieved. And their achievements really speak for them. And their rivalry with Manchester Utd, makes them all the more interesting, coz i really HATE ManUtd. I love Arsenal because of the way with which they approach the game, the way in which they play the game, their sportive attitude, and their passion for the game. Arsenal FC is not just any other club, its a family . And at the top of this all, there...
